Farewell, Mr Ambassador

Israel has never had very positive ties with many sovereign states except the United States and African states. That, however, can be mainly attributed to the fact that it is a young state with a long history of war.

Nonetheless, it has made diplomatic progress globally. One of the most drastic and appreciated diplomatic developments that Israel has made broke the record of close European ties that the nation has made.

In a period of only four years, Daniel Taub managed to make Israel and the United Kingdom so friendly that the world is now hopeful that Israel can one day be at peace.

In less than four years, the two countries experienced trade between them double up and their cultural and academic ties strengthened exponentially. The same years of growth were so pleasant to watch and experience that British diplomats have referred to the period as the ‘Golden Era’.

The man behind the Golden Era, however humble and soft spoken, continues to intrigue the diplomatic world for beating the odds of cultivating the ties of two such proud countries so fast. Even more peculiar is the diplomat’s nature of birth and parentage, his citizenship too.

Daniel Taub was born and bred in the United Kingdom because his Israeli family as in Britain to seek asylum from political persecutions that plagued their home. Daniel Taub is an Israeli who was appointed by his countrymen to represent their interests in Court of St. James.

The diplomat, a man of an open-mind, met her Majesty Elizabeth II the Queen of England for the first time when he presented himself at the Court of St. James.

He presented himself while clad in his traditional Jewish regalia and bowed his head in humility to show the queen that his allegiance was Israeli but he was at her service. He had kept his word to her and his country by the time of his resignation.

Taub never seemed to be defiant but displayed a brave defiance one time when Israelis came under verbal attack from George Galloway. The Member of Parliament for Bradford, a known racist, declared his constituency an ‘Israel free zone.’ The bigotry had spread across to some institutions of higher learning and UK’s biggest student union had voted to embrace a boycott of Israel.

Times were bad for Taub at that time. However, he exercised his diplomatic authority by demanding of university administrators not to let any cases of discrimination or intimidation perpetrated on pro-Israeli students go unpunished.

He then defiantly visited Galloway’s constituency and had a jolly good time with the friendly locals. When asked why he made the visit despite Galloway’s sentiments, Daniel claimed that the locals made numerous efforts to invite him to Bradford just to show him that Galloway’s sentiments neither represent their will nor their feelings towards the people of Israel.

Good Guys with Air Conditioning at Goettl

Businesses acquire other companies to expand their operations. According to a news update released for the first time through Business Press Vegas, Goettl Air Conditioning is joining the companies making a plan for expansion. They are talking about joining forces with HVAC, a family company from Southern California. There is no announcement of how much the deal is worth.

Integration and Expansion

According to their crunchbase page, Goettl Air Conditioning currently has locations in Phoenix, Tucson and Las Vegas. Expanding towards California will be a big step. Todd Longbrake, the owner of Walton’s, could not open the new locations without some help. He did everything he could for the business, and expanding it as much as it was possible at the time.

However, companies need to change if they plan to grow. Stagnation kills off new business options. It doesn’t attract new clients, and some serious investing is necessary both from the financial side and the human resources aspect.

Goettl Air Conditioning was interested in this deal in 2015, but back then Longbrake was not sure about this move. It took him some time and research. He also heard positive things about Ken Goodrich, the owner of Goettl, so Longbrake decided to go for it and accept the deal.

The company is now bigger and stronger than it was. Longbrake himself now works as a sales manager and field supervisor. It is a new role but one he has taken on splendidly. He is a good leader, and Goettl is pleased with how well he assimilated into the company and his new role.

Goodrich said that Longbrake is emerging as a leader within Goettl. They did not announce the acquisition before ironing out any difficulties and marketing issues. They wanted everything to be as smooth as possible and that sometimes includes restructuring of marketing and operations.

Good Business Practice

Both companies follow a similar set of values, and it will strengthen their market position, encouraging growth. Goettl Air Conditioning employs more than 300 people, and the acquisition will add another two hundred workplaces in Tucson and Phoenix.

They have their biggest markets in Arizona. Goettl Air Conditioning want to become a brand known throughout the country. The ambition is to expand adding locations in California’s north and Texas next year.

It is already a brand people trust in their prime locations, so working in new spots is exciting for the company and their CEO. The teams are client-oriented, and their values are reflected in their business ethics. Visit the website: goettlshdm.com.

Securus Technologies Helping to Control Drugs Use in Prison

My job inside the prison as an officer is challenging enough, add into the mix drugs, and these inmates will become deadly when they are under the influence. Our prison is overcrowded to start, then you have inmates with life sentences who wouldn’t think twice about hurting an officer if the opportunity presented itself. Drugs taken in excess of any sort put me and all the staff inside the jail in serious danger.

To help to control our working environment, we will take extraordinary efforts every day to keep drugs from getting into this facility. We will do a search of inmate cells randomly, we will check every letter coming into the jail, and we even listen to all conversations on the phones. Despite these efforts, we have trouble each day trying to keep inmates from getting drugs.

Things began to change in our favor when the prison had the inmate call monitoring system updated by Securus Technologies. This company has its base in Dallas, and 1,000 employees are all dedicating their time to help make the world a little safer for everyone. The CEO of Securus Technologies, Richard Smith, says his systems are currently installed in over 2,500 jails around the country.

The day my team was trained to use the LBS software, we couldn’t wait to see how effective it would be at detecting chatter from the inmates. The biggest benefit here was the monitoring system could listen to all calls and still detect verbiage on things like drugs, contraband, and weapons. It wasn’t but hours later that we were able to hear conversations about drug usage inside the yard, family members bringing drugs to the visitor center, and even how some inmates are being forced to sell drugs at the demand of higher-ranking gang members inside the prison.
